Chace Crawford

Born Christopher Chance Crawford on July 18, 1985 in Lubbock, Texas. Growing up, he struggled to identify a career path between advertising, business and communication majors. Midway through his second team his mother encouraged him to pursue acting. To this day he credits his mom for this bold move. This was based, according to his mom, on a career aptitude test he had taken up during high school which revealed he was best suited for a career in the performing arts.

In 2006, Crawford appeared in Lifetime’s television movie Long Lost Son  and that same year, he starred in the horror/thriller movie, The Covenant . But it was in the year 2007 that he was given his big break. He acts in the drama series Gossip Girl  portraying the character of Nate Archibald. He won the Teen Choice TV Male Breakout Star on 2008 for Gossip Girl and consecutively won the Choice TV Actor: Drama in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and People’s Choice Favorite TV Drama Actor also on 2011 for the same series.

Crawford was arrested on June 24, 2010 with a charge of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Police said Crawford was in a parked car where they discovered less than two ounces of marijuana. Crawford insisted that he was innocent and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He could have faced up to six months behind bars but would be dismissed if he met certain conditions, including 24 hours of community service and reporting to a probation officer once a month for 12 months. So he did, and was cleared of his criminal record by a Texas judge.
