David Michael Hasselhoff was born on the 17th of July in the year 1952. He produces and sings but is best known for his acting career. He starred in the hit televisions series, Baywatch, playing the role of Mitch Buchannon. Earlier in his career he starred in an American television series titled Knight Rider playing lead character Michael Knight. David has often been seen as a judge in talent shows such as America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent and Dancing with the Stars.

In 2004, David was arrested for suspicion of DUI or driving under the influence of alcohol. He was reported to be taken by the authorities in San Fernando Valley but was released the following morning. There were no other details of the arrest.

David has admitted that he has an excessively high consumption of alcoholic. In the year 2006, he and his then wife decided to make their divorce public. They said that they were filing due to irreconcilable differences. That same year, just two months after their public announcement, his ex-wife accused him of displaying violent behavior but the allegations were denied by the actor.

Because of his constant battle with alcohol, the Baywatch star has had numerous visits to the hospital with alcohol poisoning. In the year 2009, he was rushed to the emergency department. It was rumored that his blood alcohol level was 0.39. His publicists denied the rumors of alcohol poisoning. The same thing happened four months later when he was once again rushed to hospital. Two months after that, he had a fit of seizures in his home and received medical attention. In 2010, he visited another hospital after a three day drinking binge.

In the year 2007, a videotape of Hasselhoff was released, showing the actor drunk while trying to eat a burger in a hotel in Las Vegas. His daughter was the one who took the video. Her voice could be heard asking him to stop his drinking. Because of the video, David was suspended from visiting his daughters.
